Future Professionals from THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School were treated to a day of inspiration with three national industry leaders – Geno Stampora, Jeanne Braa Foster and Dr. Dean Foster – at The Weinberg Center for the Arts on June 7, 2017.
“Bringing in guest artists of this caliber is incredibly important to our curriculum and the personal development and career growth for the Future Professionals in our doors,” said Charles Riser, co-owner of THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School.
The event included a morning session with Geno Stampora, industry expert, author, and speaker. As a sales consultant, distributor and platform artist, Geno has shared the stage with some of the world’s greatest artists and has been featured in numerous publications including Glamour, Elle, The New Yorker, Washingtonian among others. He is also a recipient of NAHA’s 2009 Hall of Leaders Award.
Jeanne Braa Foster was Paul Mitchell’s stage partner, working on stage with him from the launch of the Paul Mitchell product line in 1980 until he lost his battle to cancer in 1989. An extraordinary hairdresser, Jeanne became the first artistic director of John Paul Mitchell Systems and received the first North American Hairstyling Trustees Award.
Jeanne retired in 2001 and married Dr. Dean Foster, an orthopedic surgeon, and cancer educator. Together
they formed Eyes on Cancer, an awareness program that trains beauty professionals to recognize the early signs of skin cancer on their guests.
“Watching Geno and Jeanne speak was amazing and so motivational! I loved hearing Geno’s messages about believing in yourself and not giving up,” said Sydney Kuhl Future Professional. “Jeanne was phenomenal on stage with her models. We were so impressed with how easily – and quickly – she created each look!”
