Continuing Education Course Hour Requirements

Effective January 1, 2026, the State Legislature- HB 1600, requires Licensees to complete six hours of approved continuing education as a condition of license renewal.

#1 - CE courses must be completed before your license renewal date, but within your renewal term.

Example: If your license was issued on February 1, 2024, and expires on February 1, 2026, you must complete all six required courses within those two years to remain in compliance.

General Requirements

  1. Attendance
    • You must be present for the entire course (online or on-site) to receive credit. Partial attendance does not qualify.
  2. Online Participation
    • If your course is online, you will receive a private Zoom link 3 days before the class. This link is for you only and may not be shared.
    • You must have your camera on, remain present, and actively participate throughout the course.
  3. Course Format
    • All courses at this time are demonstration-only (no hands-on component).
  4. Completion Requirements
    • You must complete both the test portion and the post-course survey in order to receive CE credit.
  5. Sign-In/Sign-Out (On-Site Only)
    • For on-site courses, all attendees must sign in at the start and sign out at the end for hours to be reported.
  6. Professional Conduct
    • Respectful, professional behavior is expected at all times. Disruptions may result in the removal and forfeiture of credit.

Reminder: These requirements are in place to protect the integrity of your Continuing Education hours and ensure you receive full value from the courses.
