From April 13-14, 2024, The Temple Academy in Frederick, Maryland played host to the highly anticipated 4th Annual Presley Poe & Friends event, organized by the Hairdustry hosts (@hairdustry @hairdustryhosts). This year’s edition was a remarkable celebration of the hair styling community, attracting over 400 attendees throughout the weekend.
Presley Poe & Friends is best described as an immersive experience for hair stylists at all levels, providing a platform to connect with elevated educators and leading industry brands. The event prioritizes community over competition, fostering an environment of equitable knowledge-sharing and professional growth.
Notable guest artists and educators in attendance included Presley Poe (@presleypoe), Reema Jaber (@hairbyreema), Ira Pope-Sage (@irapopesage), Jamie Wiley (@jamiewileyeditorial), Olivia Thompson (@omgartistry) and Carlos Estella (@los_cut_it), who shared their expertise through engaging demonstrations and educational sessions.

Joy shared her emotional experiences and challenges as a deaf stylist working in the hearing world, and the audience celebrated her inspiring announcement as the first deaf artist hired by PRAVANA.
“It was way more than a hair show; it was a hair experience with a community of willing and caring artists. I will definitely be back in 2025,” remarks attendee Alejandra Wolff, echoing the sentiments of many participants who left feeling inspired and connected.
While no official date has been set, Presley Poe and Friends is already gearing up for its Spring 2025 return, promising another unforgettable experience for the hair styling community.
