David and Ana Maria met in college. After two years at the university, Ana Maria decided to pursue her passion of the hair industry and easily fell in love with THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School. David graduated with a degree in tourism, and was a professional tennis instructor and musician. When David need a change in his life, Ana Maria turned David onto hairdressing. It only took one visit to THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School, and he was hooked!

In October 2013, together they opened Dna Lab, a healthy non-toxic clinic classroom where guests don’t have to compromise themselves for exceptional hair service! Currently, they employ five other graduates of THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School.

“Sharon and Charles are our mentors! It’s awesome to have another husband and wife to look up to, and who we can now call our friends. We saw the passion and love for the industry during our time at THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School, and it was definitely motivational for us,” shares Ana Maria.

Tip for Future Professionals: “Say yes to everything, stay late and do your friends’ hair, and participate in after school events! The more you saturate yourself in the environment, the better prepared you’ll be when you graduate,” affirms Ana Maria.
