WE DID IT! Way to go team and Future Professionals! We donated $500.00 and many food items to Blessings in a Backpack, Frederick Schools though our December Casual for a Cause!
Blessings in a Backpack, Frederick Schools provides weekend food for children at Orchard Grove, Parkway, and Monocacy Elementary schools, as well as the FCPS Success Program. 100% of monetary donations go toward purchasing food for local children.
Jamie Grove, a Future Professional, on why she participated: “As a mother of a young child, I know how essential basic food needs are to kids’ education. The Frederick community is fortunate to have organizations like this to take care of food needs even when the students are out of school on the weekends.”
“We are so grateful to Sharon and Charles Riser and all the Future Professionals at THE TEMPLE for their generosity and support – as well as their energy and enthusiasm in raising awareness of childhood food insecurity, which is a vital to solving this problem,” states Hermine Bernstein, Program Coordinator of the local chapter.
