On Friday, April 24th, the Be Nice Team visited Monocacy Elementary School to fill backpacks full of food items. Their efforts were part of Blessings in a Backpack, Frederick Schools who provides weekend nutrition for children at Orchard Grove, Parkway, and Monocacy Elementary schools, as well as the FCPS Success Program.
Jessica Higgins, our Future Professional Advisor, stated, “It was great to see what goes into making this project come to life. We recently did a food drive in November for Blessings in a Backpack, and our Future Professionals got to see all the hard work that it takes once donations are received. We would like to come back in the future and handout the backpacks to the students in need.”
