“This past weekend I had the opportunity, along with a few other future professionals, to work backstage at the Baltimore Hair Show, called Fashion Focus. We worked backstage for Paul Mitchell and were assisting some of the biggest names in the industry! Working with Robert Cromeans(who was a Guest artist here at THE TEMPLE May 2!), Takashi Kitamura, Mary Cuomo, Anya Segers, Donna Mizell, Noogie, and some amazing National Educators! They are all brilliant and I loved watching them work.
I learned so much over the weekend from these talented people. I saw the good, the bad, and the ugly backstage and every challenge that appeared was overcome very quickly. I assisted the stylists in any way they needed. We shampooed, did quick blow dry’s in between processes, helped in wardrobe, searched for models, and more. The Paul Mitchell Team was very welcoming and helpful throughout our time there and always answered our questions. I am so happy we got to see the whole process from setup to clean up Saturday through Monday and it was all extremely fun and inspirational. This experience has shown me that I can be in those artists’ shoes one day and I aspire to be there. I will remember this experience for a very long time and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity which never would have been possible without THE TEMPLE.”
