THE TEMPLE was honored to host guest speakers Winn Claybaugh and Kathy Buckley at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on April 19, 2016. Ten Paul Mitchell schools gathered as guests to witness their inspirational presentation.
“Listening to Winn and Kathy speak I realized that no matter what is going on in my life I control my future. I have to make the choice to be a visionary. I can either choose to be bitter about the struggles and obstacles in my life, or I can be better,” said Monica Larkin, Temple Future Professional. “They showed me nothing can hold me back, except myself. Everyday I will choose to be a visionary, not a fence sitter. When I have an off day there is a never ending list of people I can reach out to. The Paul Mitchell family has no bounds.”
Winn Claybaugh is the founder, co-owner and dean of Paul Mitchell schools and has been hailed as “one of the best
motivational speakers in the country,” according to CNN’s Larry King. He is also the author of Be Nice (Or Else!).
Kathy Buckley is a comedienne, award-winning actress, accomplished author, and renowned inspirational speaker. Kathy has appeared on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, Entertainment Tonight, and Extra. She was featured in People magazine as one of its most touching stories of 1997.
“Winn and Kathy always have a way of opening the eyes and hearts of our Future Professionals. The day is full of inspiration and motivation which helps them throughout their education and personal life journey,” said Sharon Riser co –owner of THE TEMPLE. “We are fortunate that they choose Frederick to host this event every year. It is so special to be able to host this many Paul Mitchell Schools from all over the tri-state area.”
