In July, we hosted teens and tweens ages 10-13 from the Frederick County YMCA who were enrolled in the YMCA Fashion Camp for an afternoon of pampering!
Fashion Camp is designed for young girls who would like to explore the world of fashion and learn about their own individual style.THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School donated a hair consultation, hairstyle and goodie bag filled with Paul Mitchell product samples to each camper. Future Professionals also answered questions about skin, hair, nails and makeup, while campers explored different styles of clothing to create a unique outfit to wear in a fashion show at the end of the camp week. Each day was creative and fun!
Ashley Minso, Camp Director of the Frederick County YMCA raved, “I’ve worked for the Y for almost 15 years, and we started this fashion camp four years ago. It’s great because it allows the girls to really experience all that downtown Frederick offers. One of their most favorite experiences is having their hair done by the Future Professionals at THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School. Some of the girls have never had their hair curled before…. It’s a complete pampering!”
Co-owner, Sharon Riser shared, “I love this event because we get a chance to pamper the attendees and allow them to see insight into the beauty industry!”
