Clinic Classroom Guidelines
We strive to create a culture of discovery and learning in our clinic classroom. Individuals receiving services participate as models in an educational environment, providing Future Professionals with opportunities to develop and demonstrate their skills.
We respectfully request that all models follow these guidelines to help maintain a safe, respectful, professional, and positive learning environment.
Waiting Area
All individuals not receiving a service need to wait in the waiting area, as our clinic classroom is an educational environment for learning.
For models under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must remain present during the consultation and provide any required authorization or signatures. The parent or legal guardian may then return to the waiting area unless otherwise directed by a Learning Leader.
For models under the age of 12, a parent or legal guardian (18 or older) must remain with the model for the duration of the entire service. This helps ensure a safe, comfortable experience for both the model and Future Professional.
Services for Models Under 18
Services for models under the age of 18 may require authorization from a parent or legal guardian. Age requirements or restrictions may also apply to certain services based on applicable laws, regulations, product manufacturer guidelines, and school policies.
A parent or legal guardian must be present for the consultation and provide any required authorization before the service begins. Depending on the model’s age, service being performed, or individual circumstances, the parent or legal guardian may be required to remain on campus or with the model throughout the service.
The school reserves the right to determine whether a requested service can be safely and appropriately performed within the clinic classroom learning environment.
Time
All appointments are scheduled based on our Future Professionals’ learning style and current skill level. Service times may vary, and we ask that you plan accordingly, as services may take approximately 1–3 hours or longer depending on the service.
If you are 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may need to adjust the requested service or reschedule your appointment to accommodate other scheduled models.
Please allow 15–30 minutes for a consultation. In some cases, models scheduled for chemical services may be required to complete a strand test to help determine the appropriate processing and service approach.
Results may vary based on individual hair condition and service history.
Future Professional Requests
Models may request a specific Future Professional by name when scheduling an appointment. Requests are not guaranteed and may be subject to change based on availability, attendance, service timing, educational needs, or other operational considerations.
Requests for, or refusal of, a Future Professional based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, religion, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law will not be accommodated.
Future Professional assignments are made based on the needs of our educational environment.
Model Attire
Models are expected to arrive in appropriate attire, including a shirt and secure footwear.
Clothing or accessories displaying language, images, or messages that are threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise disruptive to the educational environment are not permitted.
Models may be asked to cover or change an item before entering or remaining in the clinic classroom.
Model Conduct
Our clinic classroom is first and foremost an educational environment. All models are expected to interact respectfully with Future Professionals, team members, other models, and visitors.
Threatening, harassing, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate, abusive, or otherwise disruptive comments or behavior are not permitted. Conduct or conversations that interfere with a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment may be addressed by a team member.
Models who engage in inappropriate conduct may have their service immediately discontinued, be asked to leave the campus, and/or be denied future appointments, as permitted by applicable law.
Smoking and Vaping
Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the school or on school premises. This includes cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, vape pens, and other vaping devices.
Models who do not follow this policy may be asked to leave the school.
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
The school reserves the right, as permitted by applicable law, to refuse, discontinue, modify, or reschedule a service when a model:
- Violates school or clinic classroom guidelines;
- Engages in threatening, discriminatory, harassing, abusive, or inappropriate conduct;
- Creates or contributes to an unsafe environment;
- Disrupts the educational environment or learning process;
- Refuses to follow reasonable direction from a Learning Leader or team member; or
- Presents circumstances in which the requested service cannot be safely or appropriately performed.
Depending on the circumstances, a model may be asked to leave the campus and may be denied future appointments.
Caregivers and Models Requiring Assistance
We are committed to providing an accessible and welcoming educational environment and will consider reasonable accommodation requests in accordance with applicable law.
Future Professionals and team members are not trained or authorized to lift, transfer, reposition, or provide personal-care assistance to models.
Models who require this type of assistance must be accompanied by a caregiver or other appropriate support person who is able to provide the necessary assistance. When ongoing assistance is required, the caregiver or support person must remain available throughout the appointment.
Models who would like to request a reasonable accommodation are encouraged to contact the school prior to their appointment so the request can be reviewed and appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
Service Experience
We are committed to providing a positive educational service experience. If you have any concerns, we encourage you to share your feedback with the Learning Leader who oversaw your service prior to leaving.
With the support of the service desk team, models may be eligible for a refinement service within seven (7) days of the original service. Refinements are based on the original consultation and service outcome and will be reviewed and approved by a Learning Leader.
Additional services outside of the original consultation may be subject to standard service fees.
Photos
Our Future Professionals may take photos to document their work and build their professional portfolio. These photos may be used for educational and social media purposes.
If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform your Future Professional or a team member prior to your service.
Pets
We love our pets; however, animals are not permitted in the clinic classroom. Service animals that are specifically trained to aid an individual with a disability as defined by applicable law are permitted.
