Melissa Jaqua and Abe Barron are celebrity hairstylists, onstage education partners and co-owners of the San Diego-based clinic classroom, Cut N Paste and A Hair Workshop. On Tuesday, July 15, they conducted a cutting class and shared with us their inspiration and motivational tips for navigating through the beauty industry.
Melissa and Abe have extensive experience in and out of the Paul Mitchell world. Melissa’s resume touches on every corner of the industry: North American Hairstyling Awards (Multicultural, 1998), London Alternative Hair Show, international photo work, Paul Mitchell Master Associate and platform artist, and hit TV shows So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Next Top Model, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and many more. Abe has worked in clinic classrooms, schools, video, international stages, and TV, including So You Think You Can Dance and the American Music Awards. With such amazing experience behind the both of them, they certainly inspired those of us lucky enough to see them in action.
