Meet the Founders
Since opening THE TEMPLE in 2005 and THE TEMPLE Annapolis in 2015, Charles and Sharon Riser have graduated over 1,800 students.
Together they’ve received the Business Ethics Award from the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek, been named Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Entrepreneur Council of Frederick County and were designated Business DoGood-ers at the 2017 Do Good-er Awards. Both are members of the Pro Beauty Association and participate in the Eyes on Cancer Program at each campus location.
Avid believers in service above self and philanthropy, the Risers have volunteered and contributed on a local, regional, national and international scale. From providing crucial resources and funding at the James M Stockman Cancer Institute in their hometown of Frederick, Maryland to physically assisting and financially sponsoring a well in Eswanti, South Africa with the Thirst Project, the duo are involved in many efforts to give back.
Other initiatives they donate their time and resources to include the Good to Great Scholarship Program, Beauty Changes Lives Scholarship Program, the Distinguished Young Women’s Program, EBeauty, an organization offering free wigs to cancer patients and many more.
