Future Professionals from THE TEMPLE Annapolis Be Nice or Else team had the privilege of helping 100+ campers at Camp Sunrise get ready for their big dance on August 4th. They donated their time and skills to provide hair, makeup, and manicures so campers could be ready to dance the night away.
“I loved being able to spend the afternoon giving back to such a great camp. The smile on the kids faces were priceless, and it is always a great to be able to give back to such a great cause.” said Hannah Baldwin, Service Desk Leader.
Camp Sunrise gives a normal camping experience to hundreds of happy campers who have been diagnosed with or survived cancer. They combine an exciting camp experience with professional medical support so, campers are given the opportunity to have a week long of summer fun.
Future Professional Rachel Falls said, “I really enjoyed working with the younger kids. It was nice to see that they were strong enough and self assured enough in what they wanted. I met one little girl who had beat cancer and been cancer free for six years and she was such a inspiration. I feel like doing events like these are one of the reasons I started doing hair.”
