Future Professionals taking part in our Be Nice Or Else Team had the recent privilege of practicing their craft on the clients of Frederick Rescue Mission. Approximately 50 haircuts were performed on the area’s homeless individuals during the team’s two visits.
“We are so proud of how our Future Professionals conducted themselves. I couldn’t have been more proud of their focus and dedication. One resident came forward and thanked us for bringing the team. He loved his haircut and the special attention he received,” said Sharon Riser co–owner of THE TEMPLE.
Team member Cayla Scheer “This event showed me what I was taking for granted. Not everyone has the privilege to go to school. I was glad to be able to give back and help those who needed it.”
“We may not change the life of any of the residents, but for 20 minutes we treated them like kings and queens and made them feel special,” said Evelyn Bourlier, Be Nice or Else Team leader . “Listening to their stories and being a part of something so special is indescribable. It touches your heart in the deepest way.”
Our Be Nice or Else team plans to returning every other month to continue this tradition with the Frederick Rescue Mission.
