Temple Future Professionals Help Disadvantaged Children In Back To School Event

Over 25 Future Professionals from THE TEMPLE: A Paul Mitchell Partner School participated in an annual event to provide disadvantaged students from around Frederick County with supplies for the upcoming school year.

Equipped with their supply list, each child was given the opportunity to pick their backpack and fill it with materials ranging from notebooks to pencils, papers, folders, crayons and more.

Jessica Gomez, Future Professional and mother of two, was an eager participant for the event, “As a mom I understand what it meant to these children to be able to have what they need. I was truly amazed at the generosity of so many in the community and how many supplies were donated!”

As part of the effort THE TEMPLE donated over 1,000 free haircuts for the children as well.

“The kids are so amazing to watch. When they see themselves in the mirror after their new haircut they have the biggest smiles!” said Chelsea Tucker, Future Professional.

“We couldn’t be more proud of our Future Professionals who chose to be a part of this event.  They were amazing and made a difference in the lives of so many in the area!” stated Sharon Riser, co-owner.
